Sponsored by the Peterborough Historical Society

Concert at Bass Hall, Peterborough Historical Society, Grove St. Peterborough

Tickets and more info

The Folkway Historic Dinner:

This is the closest thing to a real Folkway evening that we are able to assemble in Bass Hall!  A buffet style dinner will be served for up to 60 guests.  Dessert, wine and other beverages will be included.

The menu will be made up of actual Folkway favorite dishes.  Many of the Servers will be the actual waiters and waitresses who actually worked at the Folkway–some from the late 1970s!!

The Concert:
Who can forget the finger picking pyrotechnics of Guy van Duser?  He and clarinetist (and pennywhistler) Billy Novick were often at the Folkway, entertaining everyone with a broad blend of musical styles, from fiddle tunes, to jazz classics, and even Sousa marches.
The duo of Guy van Duser and Billy Novick has not been heard in the Monadnock region since the Folkway closed in the 1990s, so it is a great honor to have them perform as part of the Peterborough Historical Society’s annual gala event.   Having dinner and a then enjoying a show is very reminiscent of a great evening at the Folkway.
We will be selling only 60 concert only tickets for this event.  Concert only goers will be seated where they fit among the dinner tables and along the walls–just like during the days of the Folkway!  Sorry, we don’t have a staircase to sit on!
Folkway Historic Dinner and Concert cost is $50.  Guests should arrive at 6:30.
Location:  Bass Hall at Peterborough Historical Society
Parking on Street, public lots and in lot behind PHS building
