I’m trying to revive Irish set dancing in the seacoast area, and so I’m offering a class starting September 24, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, located at 20 Madbury Road, Durham, NH. Classes will be Friday evenings from 7PM – 9PM. Fee is only $5/person/class or a reduced rate of $4 if you are a member of SICA. The class is for adults, and all levels of dancers are invited, especially beginners. If you are new to set dancing, below are some links to see what the dancing is like. It’s a country folkdance style, similar to square dancing where you have 4 couples in a set, and you dance various movements to traditional Irish music. It’s very lively, fun to dance and sure to bring a smile to your face after a long work week!
