Bass Hall – Peterborough Historical Society
The final night of the Folkway Remembered Project will begin early with a wine reception and a last chance to see the Folkway Remembered exhibit before a full evening of music and memories with three Folkway acts.
Lorraine & Bennett Hammond have been at the forefront of the New England folk music scene for decades. Lorraine has established herself as one of the foremost players of the mountain dulcimer. Bennett is a superb finger-style guitarist. Together they create some of the finest, most magical acoustic music to be found.
For more than 30 years Horace Williams has captivated audiences with his virtuosity as a vocalist, guitarist and songwriter. Horace brings a unique perspective to his performance which can be one moment profound, and the next moment ridiculous, and always entertaining.
One of the favorite performers at The Folkway, Sally Rogers continues to charm audiences with her warm personality and exquisite singing, accompanying herself on guitar, banjo, and dulcimer. She has made frequent radio appearances on both “A Prairie Home Companion” and “Mountain Stage”.
Tickets for both shows are available at the Historical Society, The Toadstool Bookshop in Peterborough, and on the Historical Society’s website: www.PeterboroughHistory.org.
All proceeds from the concerts benefit the Peterborough Historical Society.
