Keene Area Community Chorus: Wednesdays 7:00-9:00 starting February 9th (postponed from Feb. 2nd due to weather) at the Monadnock Waldorf High School

A teen and adult chorus for men and women! No sight-singing necessary. Learn to sing traditional songs from America, the Republic of Georgia, South Africa, Bulgaria, Quebec, Corsica, the British Isles and more!

Lynn and Will Rowan, veteran workshop leaders with Northern Harmony and Renewal, teachers for Village Harmony, and members of the award-winning trio Windborne, are leading a World Music Singing workshop in Keene. This teaching duo travels the world collecting songs and is pleased to offer an afternoon of South African, Georgian, Mediterranean and American music, as well as some of Will Rowan’s original compositions. This workshop is an introduction to the type of music the Rowans will be teaching in their new Community Chorus starting in February.

Lynn and Will have an energetic, easy-going teaching style. In singing with them, you learn not only the notes, but also new ways of using one’s voice and you hear stories of all the places these songs come from.

This Chorus is open to men and women ages 13 and up. No previous experience or music-reading ability required.
