St. Jean Baptiste Celebration with Josee Vachon
The French Heritage Center will be rolling out the blue and white carpet for their main event, “A St. Jean Baptiste Celebration” featuring well-known Franco-American singer/songwriter Josee Vachon.
The event will be held at Assumption Church hall, (Holy Name Parish) 94 Springfield St., Chicopee, MA on Saturday, June 22nd at 7:00 p.m. Included will be a French themed basket raffle, a Patisserie, (baked goods) with special St. Jean pastries, door prizes and other surprises!
Born in Quebec and raised in Maine, Josee Vachon has been entertaining for over 25 years.
Her French songs are performed with guitar, spoons, clogging, energy and charm. She has recorded 12 solo albums, appeared on Parisian television shows, and hosted “Bonjour!”, a French language cable TV show. Josee was awarded a Top Ten Folk Music CD pick from NPR in 1999.
An entrance fee of $10. will be collected at the door, which opens at 6:00 p.m.
Proceeds will support future programs and the French Heritage Center Building Fund.
