The Performers:
Lunatic Fringe–A five-piece group that plays a mix of W. African and American folk tunes, plus some originals, with the emphasis on improvisation. Lunatic Fringe has played at many festivals around the region, in Mass. and NH, including the Second World Festival in Lowell, and of course, Peak Into Peterbporough every year.
Liz Simmons and Hannah Sanders–Liz and Hannah play traditional and contemporary tunes from the British Isles and America. Hannah grew up in a family of gypsy musicians in England. Liz also grew up in a family of travelling musicians.(Us!) They’ve played at Club Passim and other well-known folk clubs in the region.
Tattoo–A five piece acoustic roots rock’n’roll band with roots going back to California, Oregon and Alaska. The present line-up of musicians has been together for 15 years and has played all over New England.
The Tara Greenblatt Band–These 4 musicians play bass, guitar, percussion and vocals and play mostly Tara’s originals. They played to an enthusiastic packed house at the Mariposa in Peterborough last year, as well as other folk clubs around the area.
The Folksoul Band–Eight musicians who bring the Mardi Gras New Orleans spirit of dancing and celebration wherever they go–and this time it will be right here at home.
